The restaurant is housed on the main floor of Palau Savassona, a Gothic style palace of neoclassic dimensions, built in 1796 by Francesc Ferrer de Llupià and home since 1906, to the Ateneu Barcelonès. A major Catalan institution founded over 150 years ago, past and present members of the Ateneu Barcelonès include many illustrious artistic, cultural, political and economic figures.
